Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How do you access the drain hole at the back of the sunroof? I have a damp patch under the rear seat swab -passenger side - I am thinking the sun roof drain holes being blocked ids the likely cause ? Coupe

POST 2Original post

You have to pull the roof lining backwards towards the rear and it will unclip and fold down. The drain pipes are at each end of the sunroof rails. When you get the roof lining hanging down (needs a good strong pull to unclip) it's obvious where they are. The other end which can block also is in the rear wheel arch. A black tube with an end that is narrowed and comes to a slit in the end. If you open the sunroof and pour water down the rail you should see if it's coming out near the rear wheel. Mine had wet carpet around the rear seats. It was a case of putting some wire down the drain tube to clear it and also for double measure I put clear silicon around the end of the rail where a plastic fitting goes on the end of the pipe. Be careful not to try to remove the black plastic part from the back of the rail which provides the join for the clear pipe. People often say it breaks.

POST 3Original post

I noticed my driver side seat belt was slightly damp the other day, after a google search I guess it could be a blocked sunroof drain? I'm going to have a look this morning, any tips? I don't really fancy pulling the headlining down :?:

POST 4Original post

It might be leaking from the rear quarter glass , the outer seal can block and cause water to fill up the window rubber and run down close to the seat belt .. See images ..
