Hi, I have an 08 Cayman 2.7 PDK c70k miles with full history and today I can hear, louder from the vent on the rear off-side - a regular high pitched ticking noise. I wonder if anyone here has had the same ? Thanks for looking - and listening .. Russ

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I wonder if anyone here has had the same ? Thanks for looking - and listening .. Russ Does it go after a good enthusiastic drive? Speed/rev sensitive? Mine is a bit 'ticky' is it's not used for a while and the hydraulic lifters need a good workout, but I wouldn't desdcribe it as high-pitched.
It'll most likely just be the injectors that you are hearing (assuming that you are only hearing it at idle). Nothing to worry about.
Thank you for your responses. I've had it over 4 years and it is my daily and very frequently driven enthusiastically ... ahem ... Its been problem free and dare I say bullet proof, until this, but I had done a couple of very short journeys from cold so what you say does make sense. Thank you.
