Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I must have missed this post. Here is the method for turning over by hand. 987.2 DFI Carbon on Valves pics Here are some photos of the valves on my '09 cayman S which is not running as smooth as I believe it should, but never a check engine light. So the easiest way I've found to do it on other cars (assuming you have a manual transmission) is to put the car in highest gear, jack up one rear tire, and then turn that tire forwards by hand or by a lug wrench on one of the bolts. You get the torque multiplying action of the transmission working for you and it turns the engine easily and smoothly. I've never tried it on the Cayman but assuming you have a manual transmission I can't think why this wouldn't work on it.
