Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, On my 2001 986 S there is some play in the stock shifter in neutral position, I am wondering how much play is with in specs? I guess worn bushings. I shoot a little video which will show the actually play amount.thanks. 986 S shifter - YouTube Regards, Armen Jr.

POST 2Original post

Removing said play will not net you much if anything and it will never be as good as a car with solid linkage.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for replay, agree about solid linkage, but I am looking for some technical answers, I would like to know whats the acceptable play amount is. Thanks.
