A follow up to my first oil change and filter analysis: '07 Cayman 2.7 bought with 26k miles. Oil had been changed at 13k. I changed it when I got the car home (at 26k) and found a fair amount, about 10-20 metal chips and 5-6 yellow plastic chunks in the filter media. I was disturbed but not panicked yet. Over the weekend I changed the oil at 33.6k and found only 2 very small chips of metal and no plastic. I'm happy about this and really no longer worried. C.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
