I just had my oil changed and the service manager took me back in the shop and pointed out to me that my oil return pump was leaking. I have never seen any oil in my garage floor and he said the seals were probably dry. He told me it was about 900.00 to replace. Would you replace now or wait and the oil level in the car was not low.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

You don't list what year your car is but by virtue of the fact that he quoted you a price I presume you're out of warranty. I would certainly research it. Chances are there is an independent shop in your area that may save you some money if that's an issue for you. Remember: your dealer shoud provide you with a PCA discount, if you're a member.
It's a 06 Boxster S and my warranty was up a few months ago. He also said I would get a discount for being a PCA member.
if you trust your dealer follow their advise
Don't count on it . . . my dealer doesn't give a discount, because they pay for a PCA membership when you purchase a car from them. I purchased my car elsewhere, and paid for my own PCA membership, but I still don't get a discount.
