Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Great photo, sad demise
And yet we keep building on flood plains.
Reckon that went to the crusher. Not worth much in 71
Hi- I’m new on this forum, but I’ve had my 356sc for 40+ years. This happened at the bottom of Curtin, where I was living at the time. That’s the old RSL Bowling Club in the background. Big thunderstorm at the top of the Woden Valley filled culverts, and flooded low level intersection of three major roads. Several cars washed off road and seven people killed. As I understood it, the Porsche was repaired, but that’s as much as I heard of it. Don’t think it was a cabriolet- I don’t remember any cabs in Canberra then. More likely is that the piece on the left is the roof, cut away to rescue the driver, who wasn’t among those killed IIRC.
Just read up op the 71 Canberra flood, a terrible tragedy I wasn’t aware of. If that 356 driver survived he was very fortunate.
I'm fairly sure the Porsche driver survived- surely a testament to the strength of the 356's all welded body. . Those killed were all related, teens/early20s traveling in 2 cars, so unlikely to be Porsche drivers.
