I can't figure something out on my '12 Cayman with PCM: When I'm listening to an XM preset station, both the station name inside the button AND the oval ring around the selected station is highlighted in orange. (I should have take a photo of this.) That seem totally normal. Change the station, both the new station name and the corresponding oval surround turn orange, indicating that a new station has been selected. So why is that when I turn my car on in the morning and XM fires up, the last selected station NAME from the previous drive is lit up in orange, but the oval button surround from ANOTHER station is also lit up? I'm not sure what the PCM is trying to tell me...

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

The orange ring around a "button" indicates the current cursor position - if you press the select (right-hand) button, that's the station you'll tune to - while the orange station ID indicates the currently active station.
Typical German over-engineering.
