Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'd put this on General, but this list is much more fun...apologies to any woman who knows cars. A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A woman came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten. We all looked at each other and another customer asked, "What is a seven-hundred-ten?" She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine. I have lost it and need a new one." She said that this piece had always been there. He gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it whe wrote 710. He than tok her over to another car that had the hood open and asked "Is there a 710 in this car?" She pointed and said, "Of course, it's right there." Scroll down...

POST 6Original post

It reminds me of that lady whose husband bought her a new GMC Jimmy and she brought it in a week later and said to the tech "I don't know what's wrong with it, I was playing with the ***** on the dash and all of a sudden it made a clunk sound and now it doesn't go around corners as smoothly and my tires are skipping. Can you please fix it so that my husband doesn't find out?" The tech checked the car out and everything was fine, he got inside and the one of the "***** on the dash" happened to be the one that locked the front axles. The lady was driving around in 4WD and thought she did something to the car. later, amir
