Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just seen a press release that it’s getting revealed next week (17th). Looks decent, though I’m guessing this will be another limited special? https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2022/products/pors...

POST 2Original post

Or it might be a standard model like the Taycan Cross Turismo

POST 3Original post

It’s the 3rd of 4 Heritage models - will be numbered

POST 4Original post

I'm thinking maybe they should actually clear the backlog of orders first rather than announcing a new model every few weeks, ;p Okay yes I just salty my C2 is nowhere in sight

POST 5Original post

In reality, who is going to use it in the way it is intended? I suspect it will be used as a sort of cool urban SUV alternative.

POST 6Original post

Those of us who down gravel roads with ruts and pot holes. My name is down for one.

POST 7Original post

Now it has been released what are your thoughts? I am guessing that all day nobody has made any comments its not going to be a hit.... I would like one but the pricing is optimistic!

POST 9Original post

Just played with the configurator, a smidge under £200k! Not sure I see the point of it, although it is a very, very cool thing.

POST 10Original post

DMC2 said: I personally just don't see the point of it Its a narrow market I think, and I fit that sector. I have always taken my 911s skiing and Nordic winter driving, I do more miles on winter tyres than summers, its almost perfect for me, at a lesser price!

POST 11Original post

its the first ever release by Porsche that left me bored of even reading about it after 30seconds.

POST 13Original post

Agee. I find it pointless, interior is a complete let down.

POST 15Original post

Agree that it is a niche model. I do like it though - especially in the faux Rothmans livery. If I lived in the Middle East, I'd get one and take it for some fun in the desert

POST 18Original post

great concept, and keep thinking about all the places could drive it. Definitely a niche market, but think it looks brilliant and what a perfect winter driver's car.

POST 20Original post

Looks like a great car as an April fools joke!

POST 21Original post

Whatever next? A Cayenne that’s lowered and has a club sport option? Must get the essential front axle lift for resale value?!

There’s a very simple solution don’t watch his content…I found myself venturing to the dark side and occasionally clicking on his videos and JWW’s that came up in my feed. I don’t now and I really don’t miss it. Fair play to them for making a living out of what they are doing but what they produce is not what I am interested in.

If you miss out on the 992, save a few quid and buy this. I have it saved on my watch list for a few years now. Would be cool to convert to more road biased spec. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/14481471...

Yes, you're right and to be fair I don't watch his content. I watched a couple of his earlier Turbos S vids a year or so ago, and knew straight away he was annoying so stopped watching. Now I get recommendations in my YouTube feed every time he posts a new video, and I see the title that he seems to get an allocation for every new model that is released when he's really just a flipper, so I don't get why Porsche does this. I'm sure it upsets loyal longstanding Porsche customers and also brings the brand down in my personal opinion.

POST 30Original post

Can’t get over a raised 911 with 2 seats. Not a true suv replacement now is it. Too niche for me, i rather go FFRR

I have no idea who any of these people are. YouTube is for watching Goodwood race vids and that’s it for me. Why on earth would you watch random f kwits on it??! Christ, you all argue badly enough about TG on BBC2, why watch more idiots?!

POST 33Original post

Here it is off road - new video : however as a fairly experienced Jeep person I have also done this kind to thing in a Cayenne and this is just a level 1 road. On the Cayenne I tore the rocker panels off but it did the job well ( not as well as a proper Jeep). No idea what this car is for though...will people actually take it out on proper trails? When you go out on rough trails you are going to get scrapes and dents..just the way it is and I have them to show for it. I will wait till I see a privately owned Dakar that it is other than impeccable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o448ZXzPl0

POST 34Original post

Doubt it's the intended use, but I think this car would be brilliant in plenty of places in other continents, the roads in Malaysia including Kuala Lumpur are way to uneven and populated with massive speed bumps to enjoy a low sports / supercar. Suspect the same can be said of a lot of Asia, Africa etc. I'd always thought if I get to take my GT3 with me to retire out there it'd need some kind of raised suspension.

POST 36Original post

It's like a super fancy Ariel Nomad, although at this price point I don't really see many owners getting one dirty unless for the odd photo opportunity here and there I agree with the point around the best home for this car - I doubt the UK is the target market. I primarily see these being thrashed around sand dunes in the middle east like in the promo vids. Similar to the new safari Lambo, other manufacturers will probably follow suit at some point, I could see a jacked up R8 coming along at some point. Demand out there for things like this must be huge with all that vast oil wealth (still) sloshing around I'd have one in my garage if I had the cash, I reckon it would be good fun on the odd trackday or hillclimb. Without the roof bars/lights/cage etc it would also be quite a practical car like a regular Carrera. Wouldn't have to worry about speed bumps, car park ramps, kerbs, etc... Hmm I'd like to take a running jump at a speed bump or 2 in this thing and see what happens

POST 37Original post

on a day-to-day basis, this is useful but not transformative vis-a-vis something with nose lift. still think a base version with fat tyres and normal pasm works best. Are they still making them? i converted mine to GTS because i had a higher chance of getting them. maybe wait for 992.2 i dun see a rally cross 2-seater with all the comfort options being a reasonable choice compared to the proper 4 seater SUVs
