Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hey does anyone have any idea whther the 96 gt2 wing will fit onto the 996 gt3.Out of interest. any answers would be much appreciated! many thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

GT2 is a wide body design like the TT and C4S. So you would need a wide body car to "bolt on" this wing (like a TT or C4S). It could probably be done on a narrow body car but not with some modifications.

POST 3Original post

I think MA Shaw makes a wing in the GT2 style (large wing with air inlets).

POST 4Original post

Hi Loren, Thanks for the info, but I'm puzzled as to why a "widebody" wing will not fit a narrow body car. Aren't only the fenders wider, or is the engine cover wider too? I guess that means a regular Turbo wing will not fit a 996 too? Thanks!

POST 5Original post

Hi guys, Can anyone confirm if a Turbo wing will fit a regular 996? Thanks...

POST 6Original post

Have a look at these images... look at both the upper facia panel (under rear window) and the lower part of the deck lid.

POST 7Original post

Loren is right, I also confirmed this with many professionals. MA Shaw offers a Turbo Wing that would fit the narrow body 996. However it is not factory and the wing is fixed in the extended position. CLICK HERE FOR MA SHAW CLICK HERE FOR MA SHAW Regards, Dan
