Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi all, Bought the Bilstein B12 Pro-Kit for my Cayman S . There is a original part on the front strut called (Clip, vibration balancer). Is this supposed to be moved over to the new Bilsteins ? It's not mentioned in the Bilstein installation instructions. Cheers, Mikael

POST 2Original post

I don't know if you "have" to but the shop who did my suspension work in the past always moved them over. You might call Bilstein and ask if it is optional or a must do.

POST 3Original post

I did not remove that on my KW V1's.. Do you have a pic of the bilsteins ?

POST 4Original post

Sorry for late answer! I moved the part over, the B12 strut looks identical to the original strut (also Bilstein ).

POST 5Original post

How do you like the B 12 kit? It is harsh? What are it's negatives? Would you do it again or do something different if you had the option? Thanks, Brian

POST 6Original post

Well I'm still working on the install. You know it's winter here in Sweden, so I'm not in a hurry. Ask me again in a couple of months, I would guess I have an opinion in May. Cheers, Mikael

POST 7Original post

My work is finished and now the car needs a wheel alignment. Took some photos today, not on level ground tho. Luckily the car passed over the speed bumps outside my house! //Mykie

Sorry to dig up old thread, but looking to see how you feel about this kit 2 years in. Thanks!

Thanks for the response! I’m at 14.75 in the front now and 15.5 in the rear stock. 105k on the car so it’s tired. Without the LCAs would the nose ride higher?
