Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Anyone with a 987.2 S have an FVD tune? Comments? Debating on that vs local shop tuning. Thanks Marc

POST 2Original post

I had it on my red 987.2 CS, I got the tune solely because it didn’t have any sport button and I wanted a better throttle mapping. That is exactly what I got with the tune. So I felt I got my moneys worth. If you by ”local shop tuning” mean a dyno tune, then that is always going to be better. Now with my yellow 987.2 BS I am more hard sold by comparison; it already has the sport chrono package and I am really doubtful of the claims of power increase; my money will go towards headers instead....then if I have nothing better to spend my money on I will revisit the canned tune departement.

POST 3Original post

looking at installing FVD HD 200cell headers to go along with my FVD lightweight cat back. I'm leaning towards tune by local shop on a dyno as it is tailored to the car. Just curious if anyone had any real world experience.

POST 4Original post

Not sure where you are in NJ but you are welcome to come check out our 987.2 S that has our HJS HD 200 cell catted headers and Valved Exhaust System. We have a tune that was developed around the same components as well.
