Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

My 2006 Cayman S makes a sound that can only described as crushing a glass bottle when I turn the wheel all the way in either direction. The sound starts when the car moves and stops when the car stops. I think I actually feel a bumping in the steering wheel but I'm not sure (my be a mental thing). I took the car to the dealer two times. Both times they say there is nothing wrong. I was afraid it may be a wheel bearing. Since I participate in DE's I sure would hate to have a wheel bearing fail at Road Atlanta or VIR. Has any one else had this problem? If so what did you do to solve it?
