I've noticed recently why idling and with the 6 speed transmission in neutral with the clutch let out completely I am experiencing a noise. it sounds like a squeak-squeak-squeaky, or a loose pulley/bearing noise, spinning noise or the like. as soon as I put my foot on the clutch pedal and press slightly, the noise stops. remove my foot, and it starts again. so the noise goes away if I put any pressure at all on the clutch pedal. I assume there might be something loose, or about to break, in the assembly of the pedal, or something in the transmission... Not sure. There doesn't seem to be any abnormal vibration while shifting, the clutch still catches well and at the same point. Has anyone dealt with an issue like this before? it's an 06 Cayman S w/ 75k miles on it.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
