Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Whilst fixing the windscreen washers not working, the black pipe had come undone, There is a clear pipe with a black right angle connector on it that's just loose on the left hand side, anybody know what it does and were it should be connected? It's a c4s if that helps. Thx[/list]

POST 2Original post

It's the battery vent tube. You may have an aftermarket battery without a hole for it to plug in to, or someone didn't plug it in.

Any decent battery should have one. Any large capacity really NEEDS one due to the volume of gas possible.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
