Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 2006 Cayman S...Can anybody tell me if i can fit a CD/RADIO/SAT NAV PHONE HEAD UNIT from a 2006 911 turbo? Thanks :help:

POST 2Original post

Hi there, I personally can't but I would think any competent parts person at an OPC would be able to confirm. Try Vincent at OPC West London - he's pretty good on these things. ~ Maxie Edited to say this post be moved to the 997 forum as its a 2006MY 911 OP is discussing.

POST 3Original post

If you mean a 997 nav in a 996 - No. Edited to say: Oops, confused by 996 forum post. If you mean a 997 nav in a 987 - Yes!

POST 4Original post

Must be a late 2006 997 Turbo (Model Year 2007) as they didn't make a MY2006 Turbo. Are you definitely talking about a 997T, not a late MY2005 996T? I have the fitting instructions for PCM2.1 in a Cayman. If you would like a copy, drop me a PM with your email address. However, it begs another question. Is the Cayman MY2006 or MY2007 (not registration year)? The fitting instructions are slightly different for each.

POST 5Original post

Does the turbo have Bose? If so then I would expect that the Cayman would need to have it too.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was a 2006 997..i saw the unit on ebay...also a boxter unit has just become available. I've also been told just today by a porsche specialist that they don't work the best in N Ireland and not to bother..Porsche have not addressed the issue yet. Thanks for all your replies.
