Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Been working on troubleshooting fuel pump issues (cold starts etc.). Fuel Pump Relay replacement seems to be a very inexpensive attempt to resolve BUT I cant locate the dang thing. Pelican Parts has a few snapshots and instruction for replacing the fuel pump and accessing the relay but on my 06 Cayman the relays don't seem to be located in the drivers side foot well. Photo attached with what I see under the dash.. Any direction is greatly appreciated.

POST 2Original post

The Pelican stuff is 986 land. Porsche messed with things for 987. I'll see what I can find in AllData . No joy at AllData . Aargh Try this link. Fuel pump relay is on relay support 1: https://www.google.com/search?q=cay...38&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=aTKzVKyLNoLqggSHwYFw&ved=0CEgQsAQ&dpr=0.9

POST 3Original post

Thanks Rob VN. I figured the Pelican article/thread was not 987. I've been ALL over the web looking. I've seen many of the images you forwarded, wiring diagrams and the like. Even tried pulling back several carpet pieces in the rear hatch (based on that one aerial image) but cannot find the panel where these buggers reside!

POST 4Original post

It should be above the fuses, LHS Good luck Rob

POST 5Original post

Hmm..?? I've been all around this very awkward location and can't find them anywhere!! About to start tearing apart all the frunk plastic coverings!

POST 6Original post

Here is relay support #1. It is in the front LHS of the car. Fuel pump is relay #8, the in the second row of the smaller relays. There are two rows of smaller relays, four per row. Cayman Relay Support 1 - Photo Gallery Good Luck, Rob

POST 7Original post

I am trying to locate my fan relays on my 2006 Porsche Cayman S . There is a bank of relays above the fuse panel. The relays above the fuse panel seem to be headlight windshield wiper relay, starting relay, etc. Need someone who can identify what relays are what. A picture would be nice. And identification. But they don't seem to be for the front radiators. Is there another location for the cooling fan relays. Thanks

POST 8Original post

you said that you found the bank of relays above the fuse panel? i have an 07 and am wondering which relay is the starter relay?

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
