I am having a discussion with a friend of mine about whether ABS is a benefit to the 'skilled' driver and I would like to know if the factory racing versions of the 996 GT3 have ABS. I thought I read somewhere that the GT3 has ABS, but that the GT3R does not. Also, I'd be interested in the difference between the GT3 and GT3R. BTW, for a regular track enthusiast like myself, I'll take the ABS equipped car. Jim

Reason the GT3RS don't have ABS is not because they don't want it but because the ACO does not allow ABS.
For the average track driver, ABS is a big help and saves money by not flat-spotting pricey racing tires...
