Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I recently picked up a 1987 944S as a basis for a Tarmac rally car. It is missing a few parts; header panel, power steering pump, front bumper being the most notable. ( if you have spare let me know) Can anyone confirm whether the euro or Oz delivered cars had steel or fiberglass/plastic bumpers? This is vice the US steel ones? My S2 is no help of course. Cheers Greg .

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

PS: if any one has a set of late 924 window winders floating around, let me know Cheers Greg

POST 3Original post

oz cars had "fibreglass" bumpers window winders are the same as older vw ones, try a local vw parts dept/wrecker

POST 4Original post

There is a 944 front bumper in the parts section of either PCNSW or PCV site, saw it yesterday $150 may be for a Turbo

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There's a spoiler for a 924, but I see no bumper for a 944

You could try aPorscapart in Melbourne, 0395875260

POST 7Original post

Good afternoon, I am looking at an '86' 944 and would like to add an '89' / S2 under bumper valance to tidy it up and would like to know if that would fit? The gentleman who currently owns the car indicated that it would just bolt on without too much hassle. I have sent a request to aPorscapart in Melbourne to see if they have any available and if it would fit but also wanted to check if anyone on the forum would know. Cheers Stephen

POST 8Original post

Hi Steve, Maybe you should PM me directly with questions. On this - the shape of the fender is slightly different on the front bottom corner. For best look you may need to reshape that corner, may be different S2\turbo front section forward of bonnet then front bumper section both of which I have available(also have rear underside and rear spoiler). When you get the chance goggle or take front pictures of both to check. I have seen both fitments on earlier models. Cheers,Mark..
