Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been suffering a bit with the drivers side seat belt on my 987 being lazy to retract. I found a couple of suggestions on the net to spray the belt with silicon. With some scepticism I sprayed the area that would be first to disappear through the seat belt guide when released with silicon. Just coated about 12" of the webbing and dried off with a paper towel. Sorted - retracts like a new one.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep. Found a bit of a snagette though, the silicon pongs a bit. I have washed the belt now with bucket of water and clothes wash capsule thingy. Dried with a hair dryer and all good.

I'm guessing you think Silicon Valley is a very slippery place.
