Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My recently acquired car has this on both sides, does anyone know what has caused it ?, is it common ?, and I would appreciate how I could fix it please. Tried Duxback headlamp cleaner, which worked a treat on bringing back to life the headlamps as they had yellowed and gone dull, alas not so for the lower lamp lenses. Thanks in advance. Posted earlier on Detailing Forum too

POST 2Original post

Ello. Is this on the inside? Looks to be...and I've never seen this before. Very odd.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, it’s definitely the outside you can feel it. Thanks for replying, best guess at the moment is it’s from where someone tried polishing it with the wrong stuff. Can’t shift it now 🤷‍♂️

POST 4Original post

Ah. In that case, you'll most likely have to get hardcore with wet sanding to shift that then buff it back to a clear shine.

POST 5Original post

Looks like a partly removed clear lacquer… as has been suggested. Sand down and polish up. Lots of info out there. Basically wet sand with different grit paper altering the direction as you change to a finer paper.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks everyone guess its time to get gritting
