Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

First post...hope you guys can help out. New owner of a 2004 911 Cab with triptronic. I'm having a problem and think the headlight switch or brake switch is at fault...but not sure. When the headlights are turned off, my brake lights function normally and I don't get the PSM/ABS warning lights on the dash. When the headlights are turned on, the brake lights do not turn on when I press the pedal and the ABS/PCM warning lights come on. Would a faulty brake switch be the cause of this or could it be something else? I don't have a manual to look at the wiring schematics, so I don't know if the brake light power passes through the headlight switch at all. At night, what tail lights should be visible? I only see the square one on the inside on the light cluster. Should the outside light be on as well? Turn signals do function as expected.

Category: Lights Price: $1700 Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing Part fits: Porsche Panamera Location (State): NY Item Condition: Used Shipping Information: Item can be shipped Well guys up for sale is my OEM Black Headlight Kit. I'm putting the car back to stock and the only reason for their sale. They look really sharp on the Panny. Its a completely different look and feel. One of my favorite modifications on the car. This gives you the meaner yet elegant look of the GTS. They are in really nice condition. The only small little blemish on an upper edge on the Driver Side, not really noticeable installed. Any thing you see on the lenses is just dust. Once they are at my house I'll give them a nice clean and package them. I bought these from Suncoast about a year ago. I'm in Westchester County, NY. Usual cause of this malady is the brake light switch.
