Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Being a sports car fan for over 30+ years nevertheless I, along with many others, missed the boat on 964s when they were reasonably priced. And I know they are now popular amongst collectors but isn't this a bit bonkers? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201294000561?_trksid=p20... Past £19k already with 3 days to go on a 964 Carrera 4 that hasn't turned a wheel in 7 years! Fleabay is well known for shill bidding but the bidding isn't 'private.' I know the 996/7 hasn't that many fans amongst the purists but even a good one would be less than half of the price of this one once you've restored it. Faster too. Ah, but not air-cooled Am I missing something here? Is the 964 Carrera 4 especially rare?

POST 2Original post

964 C4 has the same four wheels drive system as the 959. I think they will have their day.....

POST 3Original post

Crazy money and some of the bidding does look suspicious: I***O has a total of 9 bids and a 100% bid activity with this seller. (Pushed from £7k to £10k) s***s has a total of 13 bids, but 7 on this item with a 53% bid activity with this seller (pushed from £16.6 to £18k).

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Glad I'm not the only one. There's a 964 C4 cabriolet in red going on Autotrader for £22k AFTER an engine rebuild, and you can drive it straight away. No hint by the way, I'm not selling one!

POST 5Original post

Interesting detective work on the bidding activity! I thought it smelt a little when I asked to view the car but was told it wasn't possible!
