Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it me or this is a hard color to find used? I been searching for a midnite blue car for a month and I got nothing. Does anyone know, if this color was an option on 99-2000 cars. Anyways, back to searching for a car. If, anyone know or seen a midnite blue for sale then please email me. I am looking for a 99-2000 coupe with less then 25k and with 18inch wheels.

POST 2Original post

I believe this color was not offered as part of the standard color palette or metallic and non-metallic colors. If I'm not mistaken, it was available as a $3K option though. That may be why it is so rare. What you will find though is Ocean Blue which also a dark, metallic blue. In certain light, the Ocean blue will reveal greenish highlights in the blue whereas I have noticed that Midnight blue seems to reveal purple/violet highlights and seems darker in general. Sometimes Midnight blue almost looks black. I had a 99 996 C2 in Ocean Blue and just bought an 03 C2 in midnight blue. AJ

AJ, Thanks for your input! Are you the one with the midnite blue/black interior on funcarsonline. Nice ride! And thanks for you information.

POST 4Original post

OT..sorry AJ, what was the deal with the VIP stopping all traffic in Cambridge area yesterday. Do you know who it was. Was in Charleston (old Navy yard), and just made it out of town. Everything was tied up but radio/tv wouldn't name the VIP. <img src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" border="0" alt="[offtopic]" /> <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" /> <img src="graemlins/icon107.gif" border="0" alt="[icon107]" />

Bloke! Good to see you back! I saw you looking for other models. Hope you'll find your "midenite blue baby"

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did noticed that in europe. There seems to be more midnit blue cars and in the states we have alot more of ocean blue. So, I will keep on looking since I am in zero rush to find a car. Btw, I did noticed you have tan interior. Do you have any issue regarding dirt and getting stains.

I'll try and answer a couple of questions directed my way: 1) Have no idea who the VIP was in Camrbidge, I was up on the north shore all day (great striper fishing!). I do know that The Rolling Stones played a show at the Orpheum last night though I doubt that would shut down traffic and not be annouced. 2) Yes, that is my car on Funcarsonline. I meant to take some photos yesterday but never got around to it. I'll try to get to it today. Having owned both Ocean and Midnight blue, I really love the midnight blue...then again it might have something to do w/ the 3.6L engine. AJ
