Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know the proper name and where I can source some new roof rack fitting brackets for my 996 ideally in the uk, as I can't get the screws out the current ones to fit a roof rack. Thanks

POST 2Original post

996 504 911 00 Your local OPC will sort you out. Don't forget to ask for a discount. Should be less than the £25 they are here: https://www.rosepassion.com/en/cat/...een-surround-door-surround/I5147/plate/P60018 I drilled mine out and chased the threads, the screws are made of cheese.

Thanks for part number ordered up 4 from local dealer this morning (£97 with discount for 4), means I soon will not have to swap cars with my wife in order to going mountain biking.

POST 4Original post

That's what I use mine for, great fun to the trails. Stick all the stinky kit in the frunk, seat cover on enjoy the drive back!

POST 5Original post

ha ha, me too. My wife laughs at me putting my bike on the 996 and my old 105 Alfa when there is a perfectly good Volvo estate on the drive. But I just used to spend my time driving on nice roads through north wales or where ever, thinking it would be great to be in the Porsche or Alfa so why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone!
