Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Sounds like it could be a worn clutch. Put it in a tall gear at low revs and floor the throttle and see if it slips.
Probably your Dual Mass Flywheel is shot.
The Sachs clutch is prone to early wear. Mine went out, it wasn't the face but the fingers. About one third of them collapsed and caused the whole thing to shutter during sifting and taking off from start. Not sure it's the same but thing but I'd venture it has something to do with the clutch/flywheel. I know the shifter cables go out early but I understand that they are pretty asymptomatic until the go.
