Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

On the way home from work tonight there suddenly appeared a loud creaking noise coming from the front drivers side, specialy when the car was going slower. When i got the car onto the drive and pushed down on the front wing there was a creaking noise...any advice could this be a spring cracked, they are only a year old after having the suspension lowered, or could it be a shock thats gone?

POST 2Original post

I had exactly the same thing and it turned out to be the coffin arm bush; particularly noticeable over bumps at slow speed (0-30) as i remember.Pop it in to your local indie or OPC and they will diagnose it it a jot.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the info, would that be the wishbone or anti rollbar?

POST 5Original post

Wishbone althoug the anti roll bar drop links can also make a noise but I believe its more of a rattle than a creak...and probably not when staionary, but someone else probably knows better than I.

POST 6Original post

Hi All the posts over the last few years here point to creaks as coffin arms and rattles as all other parts! Thank yourself lucky you have a creak! M :bye:

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
