Ok this has turned into a real pain. I was on the motorway the other day, no idea how fast I was going, but the bonnet badge flew off.. I have the replacement and am attempting to put it on. I knew it would be fiddly but this is ridiculous. I attempted banging it out gently, tapping, wrenching, pulling, then read some blogs on the matter. I then attempted the 8mm socket wrench trick, unscrewing the nut against the 'pin'. This results in the 'pin' rotating with the nut. Each time I attempt to hold onto the pin from the top of the bonnet it slips out and I am now left with a really lovely scratch that will take some serious T cutting. AARGH! TIPS ANYONE?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
