I'm coming up on 40,000 miles and am thinking about a list of maintaince items to get ready for my fourth track season. Anybody been there, done that yet? Too cold outside here in the North East to get under the car for a look...

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I'm about to do it but can't find any info on de-pressurizing the fuel system...
Your car may not have a servicable fuel filter. My 02 doesn't. Sincerely, Rockster.
Ya morefun. Anything newer than 01 has a fuel filter built into the pump inside the tank, and they say it should never need service. Mine is a 98 and has an inline fuel filter.
My 02's 'fuel filter' never needed any service. When the original fuel pump finally guit at around 220K miles the fine (very fine) mesh that filters the fuel at the bottom of the pump (at the fuel intake area) had plenty of open mesh left. There wasn't that much 'trash'. Also, the tech said bottom of tank was free of trash and any signs of water. And apparently the 'in pump' fuel filter works well cause the engine's fuel system (lines, injectors) still working just fine and injectors do not like dirt. Sincerely, Rockster.
