Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hey guys, My old E46 bmw m3 had a company called Dynavin that makes O looking touch/nav units. I had one and it blended in perfectly to look oem (even the volume knobs had the same amber lights) Are there any companies that make anything like this for the cayman? Stock Dynavin I notice they (dynavin) makes one for the cayenne, but no cayman. Are there any products out there like this?

POST 2Original post

I came across this... Has anyone seen or used one of these before? http://www.carnaviplayer.com/porsche-911-997-boxter-cayman-aftermarket-navigation-head-unit-p-198

POST 3Original post

Judging by that photo, no one, including the manufacturer, has ever used one of those before. That is one of the worst PhotoShop jobs I have ever seen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2zcVUnHi_c Looks decent enough to me. I have been contemplating on getting one myself. Do an Ebay search of Hualingan and you will find a bunch of them. But I am right now stuck with the conundrum of what mod to do next; change my seats (to adaptive), new wheels (20 inch), headers or perhaps a GPS. I have run out of "must-have" mods and am now in the more painful "nice to have" phase. :/

Pioneer's Nav/SD/DVD/Bluetooth Z150BH looks like this.

What year is your Cayman? I wouldn't have adaptive sport seats. They're too heavy for a sports car whose best feature is lightness. If you're gonna add weight, doing it in the lower center of the car, as in where the seats are, isn't a bad place to do it, but I wouldn't. 20" wheels ONLY work on 981 cars. Way too harsh on early Caymans. I love the Carrera S 20" wheels on the 981s but would never put them on my car. I have 18" forged wheels and love them because they're light, the car sticks so hard in corners my ears bleed and the car is good over bumps with PASM/Damptronics. Cat-back is good on my '06. I have a Speed ART "TUV approved". It's not too loud and drone is very little and not a problem at all with it. It's sporty and expensive sounding rather than loud. Headers will cause emissions headaches but can give a good boost in performance, especially if the cats are removed. I don't know what the laws are in Sweden, I'm imagining that they are strict. Check that out before doing any exhaust mods.
