Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Spoke with the dealer who informed me that a 'production number' was received. Apparently, all the parts needed to assemble the car are available. Does anyone have an idea when assembly begins after a production number is issued? David

POST 2Original post

It is a mystery to us who are just 'customers'. Depends on opitons and local holidays I guess.

POST 3Original post

David, It also depends on your dealer's allocation - how many the individual dealer gets based on their past sales volume... more volume = more build slots during any particular month from the factory. brad

POST 4Original post

You should get a completion date soon after they issue a production number - usually within a couple of days

POST 5Original post

I got my production number and within 3 days it was being painted. Mine moved along very quickly. I had a December build, but it started at or near the end of November 05, then I got 'production complete' on 12-5-05. So it seems that it takes a little less than a week to build. When I got the car there was a sticker on the window that said 'ZP8 Date 30.11.05, I am asuming that was Nov 30th my build date notice. In fact here it is! I took a pic. Russ
