Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T011819Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1Original post

I have a 2006 Boxster S that has a ripped weather strip on the driver's door. I ordered a new one and just went to replace it. 8 screws hold it in place. Got the first 6 out without any problem. The remaining two at the bottom of the seal are another story. When I open the top to get to them there isn't enough room / the right angle to get a torx drive on the bottom one. I can move the top up/down to get to the top one, but not the bottom. <br> <br> I really don't want to start ripping the interior/top apart for this one screw. Has anyone replaced this seal before and can provide the magical incantation that's needed to get to this? <img src="https://www.planet-9.com/images/smilies/smile.png" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" smilieid="1" class="inlineimg"><br> <br> The first pic is the one on the car.<br> The second pic is the new one on the counter. I circled the two spots where the screws go.<br> The third pic shows the location of the two screws with the top all the way down. <br> <br> <br> s<img src="https://www.planet-9.com/attachments/987-cayman-and-boxster-service-and-tech/207565-2006-boxter-s-b-pillar-seal-img_0110-jpg" attachmentid="207565" alt="" id="vbattach_207565" class="previewthumb"><img src="https://www.planet-9.com/attachments/987-cayman-and-boxster-service-and-tech/207567-2006-boxter-s-b-pillar-seal-img_0112-2-jpg" attachmentid="207567" alt="" id="vbattach_207567" class="previewthumb"><img src="https://www.planet-9.com/attachments/987-cayman-and-boxster-service-and-tech/207561-2006-boxter-s-b-pillar-seal-img_0109-2-jpg" attachmentid="207561" alt="" id="vbattach_207561" class="previewthumb"><br> <br> Thanks in advance for the help!<br> <br> John
