Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Does anyone have details of any manufacturers who can supply roof bars and/or cycle carriers for my 1999 996? Many thanks, JesTTer

POST 2Original post

You will be looking for the Porsche RTS (Roof Transport Systems) and Tequipment is your friend: http://www.porsche.com/international/accessoriesandservice/personalisation/tequipment/ Select your model, then select TOURING or TRANSPORT.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks GT4. Do you know where I can get these and an indication of prices as they do not appear on the www? Many thanks.

POST 4Original post

Order them from any OPC. Don't forget your 10% discount if you are a PGCB member. Have no idea on current prices, they will almost certainly have Porsche Tax applied, so if you have to ask ...

POST 6Original post

Try the "Thule" website, i had their roof bars for my 964 & it was excellent. If they do a 996 one, it will be cheaper than OE.

POST 7Original post

hello jesTTer does that TT in your name signify that you too are from the dark side of cycle time trialling, if so you are not alone. if not apologies for asking but i made an assumption based on your post. i have a C2 cab and in the hot weather (TT season) i can take the hood down and put the frame (whilst well wrapped in a tarpaulin) on the back seats, my carbon wheels fit snugly into the front boot. My biggest problem, when I arrive at a race - i'm expected to do a fast time doh, stupid cyclists, don't they understand - "all the gear no idea"
