Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

'07 2.7 Cayman with 42k miles. My PS developed a whine/growl when under load. I searched here and found lots on overheating at the track. Mine is a daily driver only and I found the reservoir to be about 1-2 ounces low. Fluid was not on the stick but I was surprised at how little it took to overfill it. I had to suck fluid out. The whine is gone this morning. C.

Yes, that's what they say but mine was whining going around corners. It took me a while to figure it out because it would happen as I pulled away from a stop when turning and I thought it was clutch related. As it got worse, you could tell it was related to steering wheel input. I have not found a leak but I haven't looked hard. A week later and still quiet. I will be checking it soon. C.
