Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had a rattle (which I thought) was coming from my drivers door. Very mild click when I went round corners, it would click going one way and then click again going round a corner in the opposite direction. Have had this for years and it has lately really got on my nerves.. so I had done some research a common fault is a screw coming lose in the window mechanism. So I had mentally built myself up to having to take the door panel off.. even bought some loctite thread lock and trim removal kit. This morning got the car out and had a drive up down... £2.10 removed from inside the seat cap - rattle gone

POST 2Original post

Nice fix. :thumb: Once had a similar noise in a newish Honda Civic. Sounded like something was rolling from one side of the car to the other every time I went round a corner. Drove me mad. :wall: Turned out that my Son had stuffed a marble into one of the foot heater ducts at the rear seats and it had made its way to the front of the heater duct system. The Honda garage was none too pleased that I had made them strip the whole dash assembly for what I viewed as a "technical/manufacturing issue", only for the offending marble to be found.

I got £19.80 out of the center console when doing the SSK, I thought it was supposed to 'chink" when you let the handbrake off!!

POST 4Original post

:floor: :floor: never let it be said you cant make any money from these cars  :thumb: off now to strip the interior see if I can afford a holiday

POST 5Original post

I once had an E36 BMW that made a noise when turning. Eventually discovered a Biro inside the heater duct behind the glovebox.
