Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

wow i dont know how i missed it thanks!
what about the cup holder trim + that whole silver strip
You don't need to remove the cupholder to get the center console out, but if you want to know how to take that apart see my article on placing the ipod in the cd case holder in the glove box. I believe there are just 2 bolts from underneath that hold the cupholder unit in if memory serves correct.
i want to figure out how to get out that whole strip of silver across the dash so i can paint it white, i know you did it in yours
actually I have not painted the strip across my dash, it is factory aluminum look

Either his came from bumperplugs, or you are just seeing the reflection of all that yellow in the trim. I'd guess the later.
That's not my car! That was the european press launch car where I saw the euro painted rear parts option, it does have the strip on the dash painted, but I chose not to do that.
my strip that conceals the cupholder is sagging down, leaving about a 1/2 inch ugly gap. has anyone had this problem? i can post a picture if needed. any easy way to solve this other than taking it in to the dealer?
yes, it happned to me. i took it to dealer and they took care of it.... also requested no wash
