Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

What a well laid out web blog site - well done - I could do with you helping us with ours! please get in touch if you have the time and inclination. Can I just correct one statement - that the "LN IMS bearing kit is the one that seems to be working". We have been fitting our own less expensive version for over 7 years without a single failure and repair more of these engines than anyone else - our solution is therefore very much "the one that seems to be working" as well and much has been published on the Internet about the differences. I think both solutions work OK and it is simply a question of paying more for a more expensive version that works no better or choosing a less expensive alternative that does the same job just as well. That is not to take anything away from a very well displayed story that I found a very interesting read! Best regards, Baz
Oz951 is on here and posts on Rennlist too. Had seen the link before but only just checked it out... Us watercooled guys need more sites like his... :thumb:
Thanks That's a good read, "the noise sensitive pussy" made me chuckle
We used to have a noise sensitive pussy....sadly no longer with us  A well presented and thought out site....very well done. Not had my car long enough to be pulling it all apart (Week 7 in the Big Broother hoose) but I shall follow with interest (infact iv'e bookmarked it)
G'day, Thanks for posting up the link Chris, I had planned to do so after I had some reasonable content on the page. Baz, I have amended the comments about the IMS options. I was not aware of your IMS treatment and I would certainly like to learn more about it, especially since you've been doing it for a while. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback, I like to get useful information out there so that people understand their cars a bit better and perhaps tackle a few issues themselves and enjoy their ownership a bit more. Cheers, Wayne
