Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just bought my first 996 and enjoying the experience so far! I'm sorting out a few bits and pieces in the car and one of them is interesting. When the radio is switched off, I get occasionally bursts and squeaks of what sound like radio static. When I switch the radio on, these disappear completely. Any advice appreciated and apologies if it is something really obvious that i've missed completely. Also, I need a couple of obscure parts. I've found the part numbers in a .PDF. Where is the best place to order them online? Thanks for the advice.

POST 2Original post

is your mobile phone nearby, sometimes the speakers can pick up mobile static when they are switched off?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not a mobile phone. Don't own one! Really puzzled as to why it squeaks and chirps static type noise periodically but only when the radio is off?
