All, Do I really have a 70K car with a sub standard radio? What a POS! I have done some preliminary searches but want to cut to the chase. Here are the symptoms. Just give it to me straight with the fix. 1. Radio reception is terrible...stations in AM/FM are both clipping in and out of reception. 2. CD playback is terrible, clipping occurs during songs, songs will skip and quit all together and eventually after 30 seconds to a minute will return to the last track played. 3. During these issues the radio control buttons also become useless. Non responding and all over the map. 4. I also do not understand the aux jacks in the glove box and the CD slot. This car also has a Gateway USB device installed (separate USB cord hanging into passenger leg well) and works pretty well but the PCM screen functions are tricky at best but do work. What is odd is has not always done this and it almost seems like a strange interference, or power or a short issue? Because all functions go haywire not just specific functions. I'm not a tech in ANY way. Any help appreciated? Anyone want to give me a radio makeover? If there is a standard fix or this is a common flaw with this model of radio please let me know.
