This is pretty random, but I was sitting in my friend's 911 the other day and was admiring his leather/aluminum shift ****. He has a GT3/Aero kit, which seemed to include a "GT3" leather/aluminum hand brake handle. I haven't seen a pic of the shifter that looks quite like his. Is it different from the regular 996 shift ****? Anyone have any good pics? Thanks in advance.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

To my knowledge, the shifter **** in the 996, GT3, GT3 Supercup and GT3RS are all identical (well, at least the 'standard' shifter ****). Don't know about the handbrake handle (none in the race cars).... [on edit] Actually, perhaps your friend had the 'aluminum' shifter **** with the flat top? (For example, see the shifter in the photo at http://www.porsche.de/modelle/911teq...eur/carbon.htm .) Viken B. and a few others would surely know exactly what is available.... - Nick
Yes, that's it (the one at the link). If anyone knows a good place to purchase this please let me know. Thanks Nick. [edit] I managed to find a pic on the Porsche NA site: http://www.us.porsche.com/national/m...ech/carbon.htm
