Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Folks, I've written up an installation guide for the Cayman IPD intake plenum that covers the whole process in enough detail that a novice should be able to complete the installation with confidence. That was my goal anyway. If you're interested, you can download the PDF here: IPD Cayman Plenum installation instructions.pdf I'm happy to share the guide with other owners but since I don't want it used commercially, the guide, text and images are copyrighted (owned) by me. Please let me know what you think, or if you find errors. Thanks, -- Sam

POST 2Original post

Do you mind if I put that in our files section? I'd also like to see it done in our articles section as well, but I could do that during my install if you don't feel like cutting/pasting what you have into the article submission form.

POST 3Original post

Beautiful writeup! Makes me want to try one out..even if it isnt designed specifically for a 2.7..

POST 5Original post

Just read it - very easy to follow. Can't wait to put it to good use. Thanks for the work.

POST 6Original post

Nice work, very clearly written and the pics are superb.

POST 7Original post

Your hard work is appreciated, Thanks. zornet :burnout:

POST 9Original post

Nice. A question, since the vacuum line is no longer required did you plug it up?

POST 10Original post

Tks, hmm.... guess I have to get me one of these

POST 12Original post

nice write up! now i need to find out how 2 remove the intake manifolds

POST 13Original post

Thanks everyone. Hopefully it will be of help! The flapper vacuum motor line is plugged with a small plastic plug (provided). In the guide, step 10 describes the process and there is a picture of me holding the plugged hose in the image above it. I'm happy to say that's beyond the scope of my guide! Good luck with that! If you can afford it and you're interested, you should try it. I have no reason to think that it will not bolt on a 2.7 exactly the same as it does on the 3.4.

POST 14Original post

Sam - Thanks a million for providing the install guide! Even answered my question about what the heck was that loom for (plastic oil filler tube)…I’ve trimmed the hose a little and was able to make it fit so much better. OK, now for the maiden voyage and head down to Tucson… -Manny M.

Plenum - Capristo - Install Hi, Friday I installed the Capristo (headers - 200 cell cats, and exhaust) and plenum, no problems except for a lack of the little vacuum tubes for the exhaust valves (fabricated some). The guides for both found posted on this website were great (nothing in the Capristo box, the plenum I pulled from their site). The "Sleeper" is now a screamer. I had the EVO V-Flow already on it and the desnorking done. I'll get a dyno once I get the software installed and burned in, but seat of the pants, nothing is going to touch it. Last install will be the underdrive pulley and Snap-flash software. Regards, MISpuds

POST 17Original post

Are you doing the underdrive pulley just for the 8HP benefit? Thats about the only power-up mod I have not done yet.

POST 18Original post

Hi all, i am doing this upgrade as I removed the hose, one of the vacuum hoses came away from the opposite end. See attached picture. I can not see where this plugs into and i know this hose is plugged. Can anyone help me. 1. Where does this opposite end plug into ? 2. do i need the hose if i can not plug back in?
