Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thought i'd share this. I tried to open the lids and found both latches locked out. Battery at a good state of charge. I tried: Drove the car for a short while. Key in door lock and unlock. Internal lock switch, lock and unlock doors. Lock and unlock with remote. All to no avail. I removed the sill mounted levers and cover (3 allen bolts) and locked and unlocked the car with the remote whilst still sat in and I could see that the solenoid powered actuator was moving fore and aft as it should. On the latch mechanisms there is a hook which hooks into a ring on the solenoid actuator this was apparently not engaged and was stroking without pulling the lock out latches. Reinstalled ensuring the hook was engaged. All is well now.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
