Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are there any potential issues with putting the aero front spoiler & rocker panels on a 996 cab, but staying with the stock tail? Would the lift characteristics of the body kit effect things, particularly since the spoiler does raise at decent speeds anyway? Thanks,

POST 2Original post

I put the front bumper cover and side rockers on my 2000 996 Cab w/o the cab tail (didn't exist yet). Porsche recommends installing the complete package due to matched aerodynamics, but I did not notice any difference in handling at speeds >100 MPH with the stock rear spoiler.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cool! That's what I'm looking for as I hate the whole large tail thing - I might go so far as a TechArt style addition but not the 'wing'. Also, if anyone is looking for an aero kit tail for a coupe ... contact me - I have a new, unpainted & boxed tail assembly that will be heading for eBay.

Here's the aero mods on my 2000 996 cab. See picture link. http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/MVC-804X.JPG

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Now just imagine that in Black with turbo wheels and you're looking at my car!! Is that a TechArt original rear spoiler?

POST 6Original post

That's right, it's a Techart bolt-on to the std speed raising rear spoiler.
