The back boxes and cats are well past there best on my well used 996 Was thinking of a full system but don't think I will keep the car for that much longer (replace with a newer one) my question is would you do Decat and new back boxes. Or cats and no back box as I have seen on design 911. Not to fussed about noise levels and mot stuff but want to do odd track days and ring trips and always had loads of aggro with my tvr so your thoughts plesae

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

UK systems by Milltek are quite good, should be a good choice on the market
Got some Remus ones bit on the expensive side but come with tail pipes Sound good look good
You should be concerned about noise levels if you are going to do track days. There is usually a (surprisingly low) limit.
