Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a grey interior 986 S and the leather shift boot had a hole in it. To get the Porsche replacement part was something like $300 (comes with the plastic base and the knob). Instead of shelling out that, instead I bought a replacement leather boot from Red Line Goods (no affiliation). The color match was OK, but not perfect, but other than that, I think it came out really good. Here are some pictures.
