Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Before you ask, I've searched the forum for a DIY on moving the HVAC from the bottom to the top. I have a source for the trim piece, just need to know how to move it. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Here's a few I found: http://986forum.com/forums/performance-technical-chat/312-relocating-climate-control.html http://986forum.com/forums/performance-technical-chat/63685-986-boxster-swap-radio-climate-positions.html https://rennlist.com/forums/boxster-and-boxster-s-986-forum/980866-relocating-ac-controls-to-the-cd-changer-spot-and-cable-extensions.html

I have a post on this.....and carried it out. Try searching under my user ID. If you don't find it let me know. The job was very difficult in my car. I had to start a Yoga practice in order to assume the postures required to pull the harness down to the right spots. It's easier if you are not doing the radio. I also split loomed every thing I could in order not to damage wiring There are other members who have done it as well and they are likely more skill at wiring

I've seen those. None of them tell you how or what to move.

POST 5Original post

Whatever you disconnect up top you need to pull down south to where you place your hvac panel. Right side and down worked best on my car. Search for this: Hvac and radio relocation - harness route
