Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A 2002 996 Turbo in (maritime? blue or similar) 70K miles , tiptronic, with service history, did £28800 just now at BCA Derby...car was a Sytner entry and the reserve was £22K. Last month a similar car with a noisy engine did £22K through BCA also. Some buyers need a wheelbarrow for their gonads buying these out of auction with no warranty at those prices!

POST 3Original post

If they were sensible they could buy for a lot more from a dealer with a warranty.

POST 4Original post

People appear to be snapping them up. Watch this space on values they will no doubt go like all the other turbo's of earlier vintage.

POST 5Original post

It was hard trying to find a good 996 turbo three years ago, so it's only going to get harder. I think people have woken up and realised they're a performance bargain and great to drive.
