Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Time to sell my Granny. That should be the ultimate cabrio. Of course - you have to question the wisdom of a 190mph open car but...what the hell...

POST 2Original post

Sounds reasonable.....Daz get an X50 ordered then you will be able to do track days with the top down!

POST 3Original post

Nah, I'll stick with what I've got thanks. However I do think Don should consider the X50 version . DAZ

POST 4Original post

IIRC the 996 turbo was £96k when it was first released ,, by that standard the 996 turbo cab is a bargain at £96k

POST 6Original post

Standard turbo is about £88k. Rich mentioned fitting PCM to all turbos from 2004, adding this cost would bring the basic car upto about £90k. This giving a premium for the convertible version of about £6k. :scratchin: Perhaps The Duke of Southend will get an X50 Cab when he get's back from his European tour? POST 7Original post

Cool !! The 996 Turbo Cab will be out just months before they launch the new model. Great. Not. I love the Turbo, but the shape of the rear-end on the cab is awful.. Having said that, an X50 Turbo Cab could be one of the best alrounders (driving wise) so long as you don't look at it from behind. >> Edited by GT2man-2 on Thursday 17th July 10:11

POST 8Original post

Doesn't float my boat, I think cabrio's have a different ethos to the "max grunt fest" ultimate tin tops. I do think it's hard to beat a softtop on a warm sunny evening, with the wind in your hair & the exhaust in your ear's, but I don't think they are about maximum attack. Buy a second hand 911 tin top & a Boxter, two cars for the price of one !!!

POST 9Original post

All 996 Cabs have a fat butt. Can't be helped. Don't care - I'd have one happy in the knowledge that when I'm driving it I can't see its a**e!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The price will be 96,130 all turbo options available, except Aerokit, roof carrying thingy and 2004 my cars Turbos come with PCM as standard
