Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I just had my CS flashed with the Revo trial flash and didn't notice to much except a little better throttle response. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience or opinions about the Revo. I was originally looking at the GIAC but found a shop near by an 1 1/2 hrs away but the closest GIAC dealer i've found was about 5 hrs away. Just looking for opinions, anything is welcome.

POST 2Original post

Revo is considered to be one of the better options although there appears to be very little difference between them. I have the Revo stage 2. It was sold to me on the pretence of delivering 15 - 20bhp (in its own right). Its actually delivering 7bhp. There is however a great deal more torque evident under 4000rpm which gives the car a more urgent feel (breaking traction in 2/3rd gears is very easy). Considering the significant cost of the re-map and the very limted gains (think of it as a % increase on stock) I think its an ABSOLUTE waste of money..... You would probably be better off investing the mod costs in the future purchase of a car that does has the power (e.g GT3). Sorry to be less than enthusiastic. If REVO would like to challenge the net 7BHP gain I quote here I would be delighted to hear from them. I would be even happier if they got me the 15-20bhp I thought I was getting.

For a NA car software is pointless. an air intake is more bang for your buck. The only software to look forward to is APR because of all of the programs they offer and EMCS options. (valet mode, security lockout, TB alignment, fault code erase, etc.)

POST 5Original post

I remember this. i have the apr software now

POST 6Original post

all of my mods were done at the same time... car goes better now. Most poeple that drove it before and after agree. What matters to me is it goes better and I feel it. Had an Audi with a reflash and couldn't notice the different. But then other than that it was all stock.

Pat yourself on the back, you're one of the few who can tell the difference between a car with different throttle response and a car that is faster. Flashing your Porsche is never going to deliver noticeable real performance.
